Saturday's spoken word:

Composition is the theme of today's blog and podcast. While indigenous cultures create and compose song's with no alphabet, nor signatures for the music, To begin with, we need an alphabet with word's, and we need a way to represent the music being played, called signatures.

There are many ways, that song's are crafted. I blogged recently about the song Stardust, that floated in the mind of Hoagy Carmichael, left, and then returned some 9 month's later. This time he put down the melody on a piano, and drafted words, which became the greatest selling hit of all times. Oh, Very Young, by Cat Steven's was crafted with a theme and grant from the BBC. Sometimes the music come's first, sometime's the poem or words come first, and then sometimes they are crafted together. My first two band's played cover's only, while the final four were combination cover's and original.

On the podcast today, I will run through an Elf King's original, titled When I'm With You, and then for fun, I/we will craft a song together, with the working title of Cat Lady's. tune in for the spoken word/composition 100 class and podcast today.
