Monday's, a muse, music:

As a teaching site, TMD, the mentor dude uses the same daily theme selection as do and loving spirit. Music, with it's roots from the word muse, the lesson's are in music with the muse or troubadour influence included. Last week, I discussed a song, incomplete from the past, "warm summer breeze", and pledged to remember and share. It ended up well on my end, with not the original, but the first line and previous chords have taken on a new poetry and lyrics, with the muse emphasis retained.

This lesson follows the spoken word lesson of Saturday, composition, and various ways composer's come up with new songs. Warm summer breeze is yet another way. Elton John took candles in the wind, a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, and re-crafted it, as a tribute to Princess Di. Warm summer breeze never made it to performance status, but my changes are consistent, using the skeleton from the past, to dress up, and finally let out of the dressing room. I have found almost all of my methods to work for me, with the times and circumstances being the primary choice determinant's. I have never been commissioned to write a song or symphony, and I have never taken an entire work of poetry or prose and set it to music, but I think I have written music from all the other considerations and techniques. I will talk the changes and share the song in my TMD podcast later today.
