Age is an Interesting Concept

Mark Twain quipped, the older I got, the wiser my father became. "You can't teach and old dog, new tricks", another often spoken phrase. The key word here is "tricks". With wisdom, we cease chasing fake rabbits or our own tails (dog reference). I have met and known many aged people who learned and grew constantly throughout their golden years. A side question is: does the word "teach" sometimes mean propaganda or false information. We age uniquely, individually. For most, 50 is starting to get old and we begin to slow down. Sometimes we even slow down, as we pass through the birth canal. The poor diet, stressful nature of our nation often leads to retreat rather than passion and creativity.

So, age is relative. Death is certain, and occurs more frequently as we add years to our lives. With this in mind, I think upon Nickie Haley, looks much older, but at 51, she promotes herself to the new face in politics. This seems utter BS to me. She has no perspective of being 20, 30 or 35 in America; especially as she grew up in Dixie Flag waving South Carolina. She is no better or no worse than the options on her side of the fence, none evoking any sense of admiration in this blogger. Why I bother to blog, is that our vast main stream media treats her, and so many others as if they are relevant or worthy of trust. Pinocchio could sing, "I got no stings to hold me down", but the strings on both sides of the fence are so blatantly obvious.
